Going to the dogs

Last night was girls night out. It all started because I got a text from Towcester Racecourse offering me:
a free race card, a free £2 bet and a free pint of Carling Beer.
Four of us went to the dogs at Towcester Racecourse and it was fun not only because of the races but its also fun to win.
As one can imagine the place was packed, it was after all Friday evening; and what a lovely ending to the week it was.
There was 14 races on the card; but we left after race 13, so that we could get away from the course without too much hassle.

Hilary wasn’t going to place any bets but I squeezed a runner out of her for nearly every race.
I kept account and took the stake from her winnings and at the end of the evening she was £8.75 up;
not bad for not opening your purse once!  That in its own way was fun.
Twice her choice beat mine by the tip of a nose, grrrr; but I am not elaborating on my £30 plus winnings.
Sadly Tracey and Christine didn’t fare as well, but they still had a great evening out.

This is NOT the way to feed your cat!

Sadly I missed the shots when Coco was trying to help.

First she ate as if there was no tomorrow.

Then she played with her food, naughty, naughty;
the dry-food went everywhere, but what a delightful game!

Just some quotes I came across

Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through.
Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it.
This is a kind of death.

Anaïs Nin, Winter of Artifice

We should give as we would receive, cheerfully, quickly, and without hesitation;
for there is no grace in a benefit that sticks to the fingers.
